Subject : Writing Program
Course Name : Power Writing-Elementary

This program is a one-on-one workshop for essay writing. For an affordable rate, you can have your child practice and develop his or her writing ability with one of our professional writing instructors. Before a student begins the course, he or she will be given an introductory writing assignment, which is to be completed at home and brought to the first Power Writing session. Each week, the student will write an essay on a different topic. Essay topics are diverse, as are the genres of writing. We have seasonal topics (e.g., Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, etc.), moral topics, personal topics, and opinion topics, among many others. The student will spend half an hour with the instructor who will edit his or her essay and use those edits to give the student broader lessons on essay writing such as grammar, structure and style. Our instructors will specifically focus on teaching elementary school students brainstorming and idea-organizing techniques, as well as how to be descriptive and clear in their writing. Students will then rewrite the edited essay and go home with another essay topic to write for the following week.
